The subtle difference on Obsidian is that you can “group” tags using slashes, so that you can create a structure that helps you a lot to be used for many different purposes. Example: “batches/today” or “literature/article”.

The good point is that you don’t need to type the group, you can type the 2nd or the 3rd level and the whole group + tag emerges. Example: typing “art”, the whole “literature/article” grouped tag pops up.

This is the fastest solution I’ve ever tried in my life after 3 decades designing and implementing tech productivity systems.
