Hi, Steven!

I’m still laughing a lot, my friend, with this:

The constant upkeep with plug-ins and so forth is a lifestyle not a workflow. The community is great, but I have things to do.

I do agree with you. I have things to do.

I appreciate all the efforts all these people are doing (core app devs, plug-ins devs, and community) because I consider them geniuses. I’ve been a developer, and I know how difficult things are.

But now, I’m in a totally different circumstance. I need something that really helps me to move forward dozens of projects in the easiest way on a daily basis.

I need fast and beautiful pieces of software to keep me motivated.

I also tried Logseq because I love outliners. In fact, I wrote an article connecting Logseq and Obsidian: How to Connect Obsidian and Logseq to Get the Best of Both.

Anyway, when I met Workflowy, I stopped looking for an outliner. That was it!

I totally understand you keep using Bear and Things because just focusing on the UX these apps are a huge step away from these plain text apps.

It’s just a matter of the user’s profile, what each one of us needs, and a decision that it’s very personal.

From me, an Apple geek who loves beautiful designs, these other tools has nothing to do related to the GUI and UX I’m expecting in a 2022 tool.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Take care!

Cheers!
