Hi, Dan!
Thanks for such a wide explanation.
I see you’ve done quite a long way too.
No, Mem doesn’t do text folding. It’s a totally different approach related to Obsidian and those type of tools. Forget about comparing tools because, imo, it’s nonsense.
Mem allows you to have 2 panels, each one with a note (mem). That’s all.
From my opinion, Mem is not the perfect system if someone’s looking to develop its thoughts very deeply. For me, it’s a place to throw things in and, later on, trust the AI to recall that info.
My capturing workflow is effortless and quite effective combining Drafts + Mem, for example. I love it!
I can handle meetings, tasks, any idea, and writing my articles is quite fast (I’ve previously made the outlining on Workflowy and, if I need a visual tool, I use Scrintal).
The point is I’ve concluded I don’t need to develop my thinking by adding tags, looking for connections, using the exact same words. I prefer to trust on AI as I don’t have the time to go deeper into thoughts, as a PhD may need or any other person with different goals.
I love writing and seeing in real time how the system begins to show connections which are not based on exact strings. That’s Mem’s real added-value (and I think that’s the future, imho).
Related to my LinkedIN profile, it’s not included my previous experience because that profile is just created for my WorryBeHappy project.
Currently I’m managing 4 different companies, and I don’t want to merge all the different profiles, especially on LinkedIN.
Thanks for reading and commenting.
Let’s keep walking together!
Cheers!
