Hi, Anthony!!!!
First off, thanks a lot for reading, commenting, and your nice words.
I always say everyone has to feel comfortable with the tools they're using. If friction is too high, you'll end up leaving the tool, suffering, frustrated and dealing with negative emotions. That's not life.
I'm also an outliner believer. It gives coherence to my thoughts. I started using Roam and, later on, I moved to Logseq due to it's integration with Obsidian. I wrote an article about that: "How to Connect Obsidian and Logseq to Get the Best of Both" (https://bit.ly/3vyNrSC).
This "outline" plugin story is just a middle-solution because I do agree with you; it's not the same as working with a pure outliner app. Period.
That's why I always say people should use the best tool for every task they want to perform.
That "one and only" app is just an impossible dream. The only way to achieve that point is trying to reduce the number of apps you use, but you'll never accomplish that "1 dream".
Here, I share some tools I call satellite apps: "Satellite Apps Made my PKM Work Faster Using 11 Apps. Here You Got Them!" (https://bit.ly/3sCRifG). They're really good at what they do, but don't ask them for more... It's unfair...
Let's keep growing together!
Cheers!
